I am super excited to announce my first ever equine photography exhibition called “ The Majesty of the Horse” on 14 September at 7pm, @ The Show Room Presents, 25 Effie Road, London SW6 1EL (1 min walk from Fulham Broadway Tube Station). Will you be there??
I spent more than two decades as an investment banker in London. Two years ago I called a halt to this hectic lifestyle, waving goodbye to the bulls and bears of finance, to engage with my true passion, photography – and some real animals. Having started with underwater photography some 20 years ago, over time I needed to enter the digital age and my expeditions became truly amphibious – over and beneath the waves hence the name.
I love nature and animals, but my love of horses and water are second to none. I am passionate about the enigma behind how horses have had such an effect on humans throughout civilisations and accross many cultures.
“In Portugal, our first shooting day was at Morgado Lusitanos and when they brought the first white stallion to the pen, I was mesmerised by its elegance and poise. The horse was wearing a red and blue ornamental cape and it had the air of a very experienced model oozing confidence. I still have goose bumps remembering that moment. When the cape was taken off, I saw even more of its beauty, with well defined muscles and shiny hair which were second to its strong character,”
